Bimeda-Afrivet Participates In St Patrick’s Day Festivities In South Africa

Members of the Bimeda-Afrivet executive team in South Africa were delighted to participate in this year's St Patrick's Day festival celebrations, held at the Embassy of Ireland in Pretoria.

The team were pleased to meet with minister Darragh O'Brien - Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage - and with HE Austin Gormley, Ambassador of Ireland to the Republic of South Africa.

Bimeda was founded in Ireland in 1960 and has a long-established presence in Africa, with Bimeda products sold on the continent for four decades. Bimeda's 2022 acquisition of Afrivet, South Africa's leading animal health distributor, gave the company the largest footprint of any animal health company on the entire continent.

Organised by Enterprise Ireland, the St Patrick's Day festival event celebrated the mutual benefits that can come from partnerships and collaboration between Ireland and South Africa.
